Helen Lorentz

My background is in the Higher Education Sector and I currently work at Leeds Trinity University, as the Head of Finance Business Partnering & Management Accounts. I lead on budget preparation, financial forecasting and statutory financial returns.  I have three children; a stepson who attends Horsforth High School, and a son & daughter who both love attending Newlaithes.  

I joined the Governing Body in 2022 as a parent governor and transitioned to a Co-opted Governor in 2024. I continue to be amazed by the hard work and dedication of the entire staff at the school. Their commitment creates a nurturing and inspiring environment for the children, and the many extra opportunities available are a direct result of their tireless efforts. I am proud to support the school and hope to contribute meaningfully to helping it achieve its goals.
